Description
Safety sensitive position regulated under the Dept. of Transportation, responsible for safely dispatching transit system operations and driving transit vehicles as needed.
Starting pay $24.1372/hr. Provided benefits include but are not limited to, health insurance, group life insurance, and wellness program. Paid time off includes vacation, sick time, and holidays (for eligible employees).
This position is for the afternoon shift from 12:30pm to 8:00pm.
Examples of Duties
Primary essential functions include but are not limited to: Monitors bus and route operations; Maintains service schedules; Receives drivers' reports at beginning and ending of daily shifts; Reports mechanical problems and arranges for repairs through Transit Garage operations; Sorts and counts money from vaults daily; Manages incoming calls and complaints, and answers questions; Files daily customer and revenue reports; Distributes bus tokens and identification cards.Typical Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS (Required at time of application):1) High School diploma or GED; OR minimum 1 year experience as a Bus Driver. Equivalent amount of education and experience is acceptable.2) Valid driver's license; Valid CDL, Class B or higher preferred at time of application, and
required
within 11 months of employment (or as approved by Manager)3) Ability to lift and/or move up to 100 lbs., assist disabled passengers, and perform all other demands of the job satisfactorily4) Minimum age 18
