We are seeking an
OpenSIPS VoIP Developer
who will be responsible for assessing, designing, upgrading, and maintaining systems as well as brainstorming possible improvements that can be made to a system in the future.
What You'll Be Doing:
Maintain and improve existing OpenSIPS code, including common codebase and Convoso-specific developments.Tune OpenSIPS performance, including CPU, memory usage, I/O (UDP buffers, context switches, resource contention, etc.)Create and maintain OpenSIPS configurations using DSL.Manages and monitors installed systems, Networks, and infrastructure for the organization to be in line with company guidelines or SOP (standard operating procedure).Provide ongoing support and maintenance for the OpenSIPS codebase as needed.Provide and communicate the best practices and specific detailed information for network hardware and software selection.Provide planning for future capacity requirements.Provide documentation as required to ensure accurate and current information is available.Assists in the coordination of various teams testing and evaluating for the development of design and its implementation including network hardware and software selection, including present and future capacity requirements.Installs, configures, and tests operating systems, application software, and system management tools.Ensures the highest level of systems and infrastructure availability.Evaluate the existing systems and provide the technical direction to support staff.Collaborates with other professionals to ensure high-quality deliverables within organization guidelines, policies, and procedures.Run diagnostics to resolve customer-reported issues.Deals with work process, optimization methods, and risk management tools in the given projects for successful accomplishments according to the requirements of the stakeholders.Who You Are:
At least 2 years of experience in OpenSIPS system development, with a focus on central codebase development.Solid experience in C & C++ based multithreaded application development; minimum 5 years of experience.Experience in development and troubleshooting in a Linux environment based on IPCs (shared memory, signaling...) both legacy and modern locking primitives (mutexes, understanding of process starvation, etc.)Experience in development on an OpenSIPS module.Familiarity with SIPWise RTPEngine would be a major plus.Comfortable with gdb or equivalent and debugging problems associated with real time, multithreaded applications.Experience with common linux C development tools such as well as profiling tools such as valgrind and gprof.Wide knowledge of Real Time Communication protocols and technologies and stacks (SIP, SDP, WebRTC/RT, SRTP)Strong experience with Wireshark and telephony protocol dissectors.Experience with Python, Github, Atlassian tools (JIRA and Confluence), Jenkins/CircleCi would be helpful.Experience with monitoring systems (Prometheus, Zabbix, etc...)Solid scripting skills (e.g., shell scripts, Perl / Ruby / Python).Proven working experience in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting UNIX/Linux-based environments.Strong troubleshooting skill in different network layers, esp. layer 2 & layer 3 up to layer 7.Solid experience in the administration and performance tuning of application stacks (e.g., Tomcat, Apache, Nginx, Haproxy or Env...)Experience with automation software (e.g., Puppet, cfengine, Chef, Ansible or Salt) (is a plus).Flexibility to work a variety of shifts with availability to work overtime.BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject.Work Perks Worth The Hype:

Compensation:
The base salary range is: $155,000 - $170,000.
The Base Pay Range for this position is based on the industry benchmark for position, function, level and the company's compensation strategies. However, final offers may vary from the amount listed based on geography, candidate experience and expertise, and other objective business. Convoso's compensation package also includes equity for all eligible U.S full time roles and exceptional benefits, including generous 401k match.
