Raytheon is hiring a Principal Release Train Engineer to support our teams in Richardson, Texas. You will have the opportunity to directly impact the world around you and contribute to classified programs and technologies you are passionate about. In this position you will be a servant leader and agile coach guiding the work of all Agile Release Teams (ARTs) and suppliers in the value stream.
What You Will DoFacilitate and guide the work of the Agile Release Train (ART).Communicate with stakeholders, escalate impediments, help manage risk, and drive relentless improvement.Manage and optimize the flow of value through the Release Train.Be responsible for Program Increment Planning readiness and execution of the SAFe Continuous Delivery Pipeline across all program phases.Facilitate the Program Increment planning events.Track the execution of Release Train Capabilities, Features, and Stories.Conduct periodic synchronization meetings, including scrum of scrums for the Release Train.Assist with economic decision-making by facilitating feature and capability estimation by teams.Coach leaders, teams, and Scrum Masters in Lean-Agile practices and mindsets.Help manage risks and dependencies.Escalate and track impediments.Provide input on resourcing to address critical bottlenecks.Ensure collaboration between System and Government architects and engineers.Work with Product Owners, and other stakeholders to help ensure strategy and execution alignment.Understand and operate within lean budgets and ensure adherence to guardrails.Drive continuous improvement via Inspect and Adapt workshops.Coordinate reporting of program status, metrics, risks, opportunities, and staffing needs to Raytheon leadership.Obtain and maintain SCI program access and complete polygraphs.Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience.Experience performing the role of Release Train Engineer.Experience using Atlassian Jira and Confluence software.Experience managing agile release trains.Active and transferable U.S. government issued Top Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued TS/SCI security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.Qualifications We Prefer
Experience leading SAFe Release Planning Events consisting of government customers, multiple agile development teams, and external user stakeholdersExperience briefing and coordinating Release Planning Events and Program Increment status to government contract program managers and technical stakeholdersExperience leading software development teams for government contracts.Experience successfully managing agile cost and schedule baselines using Earned Value Management System (EVMS) techniques.Experience managing software development teams on Government contracts.SAFe 5 or higher certification (RPC, RTE, PO).Possess certification: Certified SAFe RTE, version 5.0 or higher.Experience successfully managing agile costs and schedule baselines using Earned Value Management System (EVMS) techniques.What We Offer

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
