Job Description:Position Description:
Performs build and deployment automation using Git. Uses testing libraries and frameworks -- Java, JavaScript, or NodeJS. Creates and delivers personalized, compliant customer communications across all digital and traditional channels using management tools -- Quadient Inspire and OpenText Exstream. Completes software projects in an Agile and DevOps environment. Analyzes information to determine, recommend, and plan computer software specifications on major projects and proposes modifications and improvements based on user needs. Provides business solutions by developing complex or multiple software applications.
Primary Responsibilities:
Develops original and creative technical solutions to ongoing development efforts.
Designs applications or subsystems on major projects and for/in multiple platforms.
Develops applications for multiple projects supporting several divisional initiatives.
Supports and performs all phases of testing leading to implementation.
Assists in the planning and conducting of user acceptance testing.
Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications supporting several corporate initiatives.
Responsible for post-installation testing of any problems.
Establishes project plans for projects of moderate scope.
Works on complex assignments and often multiple phases of a project.
Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting several initiatives.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) performing full stack development to provide software solutioning using Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies (Agile or DevOps).
Or, alternatively, Master’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and one (1) year of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) performing full stack development to provide software solutioning using Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies (Agile or DevOps).
Skills and Knowledge:
Candidate must also possess:
Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) designing and integrating business or enterprise applications with Java and NodeJS Application Programming Interfaces (APIs); and writing scripts to integrate multiple channels, facilitating an end-to-end failure-proofed customer experience without human intervention.
DE designing and developing new customer communications management solutions using Quadient; and migrating existing workflows from lower to higher versions of Quadient.
DE reducing time, efforts, and costs in all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) using automation scripts (to track and respond according to Agile methodologies); and confirming application fault tolerance with variable users and loads (configured through scripts) by performing Smoke, Capacity, Load, and Longevity tests.
DE developing backend applications using Spring, Hibernate, Cassandra, RDS, or SQL technologies; performing application build and deployment according to Continuous Development/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) methodologies (Git, Maven, or IBM Udeploy); and performing application monitoring to check logs, using Putty, WinSCP, or Splunk.
