Responsibilities include securing the efficient and reliable transportation of data used in the development of self-driving software. Works closely with other members of our IT and DevOps teams to implement network profiling, optimization, and security solutions to make sure our vehicles get where they are going.What you'll be doing:
Implement and maintain computer networks and related hardware and software solutionsRecommend, configure, and deploy network security solutions such as IDS, IPS, NAC, and VPNTroubleshooting, maintaining, and operationalizing network solutionsParticipate in network analysis exercises and event managementStay current on latest networking trends to act as subject matter expert and key resourceCoordinate deployment and maintenance of communications infrastructure within corporate facilitiesWorking remotely in Dallas/Ft Worth with travel to Austin periodically and to Equinix Dallas as neededWhat you'll need to succeed:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field OR equivalent professional experience6 plus years' industry experienceExperience in networking design, management, and security expertise; maintaining a WAN between multiple offices; and Cisco, Meraki, or related technologies; Linux administration a plusCisco CCNA certifications or equivalent; Cisco CCNP or CCDP certifications or equivalent is preferredExperience managing technical infrastructure to support system performanceKnowledge of containerization, virtualization, continuous integration concepts; performance metrics and analysis; and quality assurance principlesTroubleshooting skills (real-time and in-depth analysis)Strong time management and organizational skills to plan, develop, coordinate resources, prioritize effectively, and maintain programs and initiatives simultaneously and in a fast-paced environmentAbility to thrive in a fast-paced environment with quickly changing business needsExcellent verbal and written communication skills to build trust and strong relationships, effectively create reports and relate data, and communicate to a diverse workforce.Position requires transportation to locations outside the main complex. Valid US Driver’s license with a safe driving record required.
