Peraton’s National Programs Business Intelligence Systems & Applications Operating Unit is seeking a talented Tableau Developer in our Herndon, VA office to support our impactful SITE III DO contract. This is your opportunity to make a difference by supporting critical applications for intelligence operations.

About the Role:

As a Tableau Developer you will be at the forefront for creating computer systems and data visualization solutions to improve business processes and support management decision making for our Gov’t customer. Work will be performed in a secure facility and will include developing Tableau dashboard reports, creating business intelligence reports and visualizations that will require close coordination with developers and the customer.

What You’ll Do:

Tableau Development:

Design, develop, conduct unit testing and maintain complex Tableau reports for scalability, manageability, extensibility, performance and re-use.

Subject Matter Expertise:

Provide technical expertise in areas of architecture, design and implementation.

Collaborate:

Work with internal and external stakeholders to create useful reports and dashboards that provide insight, improve and automate processes or otherwise add value to the team.

Be Agile:

Work through iterative review cycles to deliver results that meet or exceed user expectations.

Ensure Quality and Compliance:

Develop solutions that comply with software standards, regulations, and guidelines, ensuring high-quality outputs.

Analyze and Optimize:

Work closely with users to understand their needs and analyze software requirements, ensuring solutions are feasible within time and cost constraints.

Provide Expert Support:

Offer technical support and guidance to our team and customer Tableau users, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience.

What We’re Looking For:

Proven experience developing and working Tableau driven dashboards and analytics.

Demonstrable advanced Tableau development skills.

Working knowledge of Tableau administration/architecture.

Ability to interpret technical or dashboard structures and translate complex business requirements to technical specifications.

High-level competency in Excel (macros, pivot tables, etc…).

Solid understanding of SQL, RDBM systems, data modeling and normalization.

Understanding of advanced calculations and statistical functions.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to analyze user needs and develop solutions within time and budget constraints.

Familiarity with Configuration Management, Change Management, and Security policies.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Strong communication skills to provide effective technical support and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

QualificationsRequired skills:

Full time work in a SCIF is required, but hours are flexible.

Minimum of 8 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 6 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 4 years with PhD. An additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree requirement.

Active TS clearance adjudication with SCI eligibility and current poly or the ability to obtain polygraph.

Must have a minimum of four (4) years in a Tableau developer role.

Must have a minimum of three (3) years of client interaction and working independently as a thought leader.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, Agile environment.

Desired skills:

Security+ or other IAT II/III level certification that is currently active.

Quality assurance experience.

Experience with data warehousing and integration tools.

Major or minor in mathematics.

Target Salary Range$135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
