This engineer will be responsible for the design, development and testing of all aspects of mechanical components, systems and equipment, including new and existing products. Responsibilities Develop and design mechanical and electromechanical products by studying customer requirements; researching and testing manufacturing and assembly methods and materials; soliciting observations from operatorsConfirm system and product capabilities by designing feasibility and testing methods, testing propertiesEvaluate mechanical and electromechanical systems and products by designing and conducting research programs, applying principles of mechanics, thermodynamics, hydraulics, heat transfer, and materialsDevelop manufacturing processes by designing and modifying equipment for fabricating, building, assembling, and installing componentsAssure system and product quality by designing testing methods; testing finished- product and system capabilities; confirming fabrication, assembly, and installation processesPrepare product reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trendsProvide engineering information by answering questions and requestsMaintain product and company reputation by complying with corporate, industry and government regulationsMaintain system and product data base by writing computer programs and entering dataComplete projects by training and guiding techniciansContributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as neededMaintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societiesAdditional duties as assigned QualificationsCreative with strong problem-solving skills and solutions orientedAbility to design and develop products using DFMEASelf-starter with the ability to time manage and prioritize tasks and projects simultaneouslyUnderstanding of consumer products and ability to maintain a high level of product knowledgeGood communicator; able to convey information straightforward being concise yet thoroughAbility to work in a team environment and independently Education & ExperienceBachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering required Minimum of 2 years' experience in mechanical design.
