Seeking a Field Applications Engineer for a direct hire opportunity with our client, a world leading industrial machine manufacturing company.This position offers full benefits including PTO, Medical, Dental and matching 401k!A generous relocation packaged is offered for candidates willing to relocate.Pay Range: $32 - $42hr + OT (depending on experience)Responsibilities for Field Applications Engineer :
Field application support and training at customers facilitiesManage and execute customer application trials and demonstrations, including communication with customers, evaluating technical requirements, preparing, and processing customer applications, writing reports, and following up with customersSupport complex application projects at the customer siteCommunicate directly with customers regarding applications and technologyAct as an internal consultant on materials science related to laser processingRoutine communication with Laser Application Center regarding new applicationsSupport Regional Sales Managers and Industry Managers with strategic and key applicationsTake responsibility for strategic applicationSupport applications in at least two different technologiesEscalation coordinationSupport customers on project developmentContribution on "info Application"Any additional responsibilities as deemed necessary by managementTravel
90% travel both domestically and internationally as requiredMust maintain Valid Driver's LicenseAbility to obtain PassportOvernights required
Qualifications for Field Applications Engineer :
2-year technical degree or a 4-year degree in engineering (mechanical, welding) preferredGood understanding on fundamentals of laser materials processing, including laser, process and material parameters, and laser safetyIndependently setup and execute application trialsWrite application reports, research reports and statements of workBasic understanding of mechanical and electrical machine data2-5 years of relevant practical experience with troubleshooting machineryMicrosoft Office; Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPointIf you are interested in learning more about this role, please submit your resume for immediate consideration!
