The Director of Provider Compensation will lead efforts to maintain competitive positioning in the market and ensure compliance with legal and contractual obligations for Physician and Advanced Practice Providers. This is a full-time, benefited, fully remote role, with occasional travel to New Hampshire required. Responsibilities Responsible for developing an overall provider compensation philosophy, structure, processes and procedures, across the organization. Develops key compensation objectives and deploys action plans and strategies throughout the department and organization to achieve these objectives. Supervise a team of two provider compensation analysts. Establishes policies and procedures and ensures compliance. Provides for the administration of provider wage and salary policies and practices, ensuring best practice. Develops, tracks, and reviews the departmental operating budget with the System Director for Provider Services. Ensures that DH's provider compensation structure, pay grades, and pay practices are in accordance with both Federal and State regulations. Develops and prepares DH's annual wage package for Board approval. Works closely with HRIS staff to implement annual increases and other off-cycle pay adjustments for all locations for providers. Conducts regular and systematic review of compensation practices and policies, soliciting input from others. Proposes solutions to provider compensation issues. Oversees market analysis to ensure compensation programs are internally equitable and market competitive. Evaluates jobs using established evaluation systems. Oversees the annual provider survey and market analysis process. Researches, evaluates, and recommends the job grades for provider level positions. Determines competitive market values and internal relationships to establish the salary guidelines. Leverages technology for compensation planning. Performs other duties as required or assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field, with 10 years of experience in progressively responsible compensation positions or the equivalent in education and experience required. Master's degree preferred. Healthcare compensation experience preferred Must offer strong technical, analytical, problem solving, and resolution skills, customer service competencies, communications and consulting skills and functional expertise in managing system applications. Must be familiar and have a solid understanding of Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft applications. Strong ability to communicate, educate and influence management and employees on compensation activities, guidelines and bonus programs. Experience in Compensation compliance at federal, state and local levels required.
