The Computer Services Specialist is responsible for managing data and maintaining network and computer systems for show sites, ensuring seamless technical operations. Additionally, assist with shipping and receiving logistics to support the company's overall efficiency. This position will support our Audio Visual and Event Technology team. It is eligible to work a hybrid schedule, generally requiring work in-office and/or show-site 2-3 days per week based out of Coppell, TX. Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesComputer Repair and Maintenance: Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software issues on desktops, laptops, and network systems for corporate events Serve as the primary IT resource for show site emergencies related to IT and networking, including after-hours and weekend support Perform repairs and replacements of faulty components, such as motherboards, hard drives, memory, power supplies, and network systems Conduct routine maintenance, software updates, and hardware checks to ensure systems operate at peak performance Install and configure operating systems, applications, and necessary drivers to support user requirements Provide end-users with technical support, offering guidance and troubleshooting assistance Maintain accurate records of repairs, system maintenance, and an updated inventory of computer parts Stay up to date with emerging operating systems, PC technologies, and industry trends to recommend improvements Identify and resolve conflicts between software and hardware to minimize system downtime Suggest upgrades, patches, and recommend the adoption of new applications or equipment to enhance system performanceShipping and Receiving: Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments to ensure accuracy against purchase orders and packing lists Prepare and package outgoing shipments, ensuring proper labeling, documentation, and adherence to shipping requirements Coordinate with shipping carriers to schedule timely pickups and deliveries, ensuring smooth logistics Maintain detailed and organized records of all shipping and receiving transactions for tracking and auditing purposes Monitor inventory levels, ensuring timely reordering of supplies, and promptly notify the purchasing department of any stock needs Ensure the shipping and receiving area is consistently clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards Must be willing to operate forklifts and scissor lifts, and perform tasks at elevated heights when necessaryEducation & Experience High School Diploma or Equivalent with relevant work experience required At least 3 years hands on experience building or repair computersTravel RequirementsTravel up to 25%What We OfferFreeman provides benefits that aim to empower our people and their families to thrive mentally, physically, and financially.
