Senior Vice President, Back End Engineer
to join our
Investment Management Engineer
team in
New York City, NY-Hybrid (3 days a week onsite) .
In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
The person in this role will be working primarily on back end software developments in an agile manner.
The person in this role must have end-to-end accountability of code development, unit test case development, debugging, troubleshooting, application deployment, and post-production support.
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or a related discipline, and a minimum of ten years of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. Ten years of experience must include:
Managing, delivering, and coordinating large scale software development projects with teams including third-party vendors and external consultants.
Ability to lead architecture design based on product requirements.
Designing and developing applications on Cloud/on-prem.
Developing Microservice based Client-Server applications using Java, J2EE, and Spring Boot framework.
Leading and developing core restful APIs utilizing Java and Spring framework.
Implementing event driven architecture across applications using Kafka and messaging queues.
Hands-on experience with Apache Camel.
Deploying and configuring applications on Docker and Cloud technologies like Azure or AWS and Splunk.
Experience with GitLab CI/CD pipeline.
Writing batch jobs using spring scheduler.
Performing application integration with Networking Concepts, OOPS, OO Modeling, NoSQL database (MongoDB), and RDBMS.
Providing application and user support by troubleshooting, application testing, test plan and test data review, and post-implementation review of new and enhanced applications.
Knowledge of PySpark and other related ETL frameworks is preferred.

BNY assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $113,000 and $235,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNY total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and company-sponsored benefit programs.
This position is at-will, and the Company reserves the right to modify base (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
