About Us:The Sandhills Bogeys are a collegiate summer wood bat baseball team dedicated to delivering thrilling baseball and unforgettable fan experiences to the community. Our team is committed to creating a seamless and engaging environment for every fan in attendance, and we're looking for a Game Day Operations Intern who will play an essential role in ensuring the success of each home game. This internship provides a fantastic opportunity for hands-on learning in sports event management, venue operations, and fan engagement.
Position Overview:The Game Day Operations Intern will assist with all aspects of game day operations, from preparing and maintaining the venue to managing merchandise sales and concessions. This is an ideal position for someone interested in sports event management and wants to gain comprehensive experience in the logistics that make game day happen. You will work directly with the Game Day Operations Manager and other key team members to ensure that fans, players, and staff have a smooth and enjoyable game day experience.
Responsibilities:Assist in the setup and breakdown of game day venues, including seating, field preparation, signage, and overall cleanliness.Manage merchandise sales, including setting up displays, inventory tracking, and assisting customers with purchases.Oversee concession operations, including taking orders, handling payments, and ensuring inventory is restocked and organized.Support crowd control and ensure a safe, welcoming environment for all fans and visitors.Coordinate with other departments, such as ticketing and promotions, to ensure smooth execution of game day activities and promotions.Serve as a point of contact for fans, answering questions and addressing any game-day concerns.Assist with any additional tasks needed to provide fans, players, and staff with an excellent experience.Requirements:
Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a degree in Sports Management, Event Management, Hospitality, or a related field.Strong interest in sports, particularly baseball, with a desire to learn the ins and outs of game day operations.Excellent communication and customer service skills.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and solve problems quickly and efficiently.Availability to work evenings and weekends during the baseball season, with a willingness to be hands-on and adaptable to various tasks.Perks:
