Position Summary :The Gameday Operations Intern will assist in the coordination and execution of all game day operations for River Light FC USL. This role provides hands-on experience in the sports industry and offers exposure to the behind-the-scenes work involved in event management, operations, and logistics.
Key Responsibilities :
Gameday Setup & Teardown : Assist with pre-game setup, including venue preparation, field/court setup, signage, promotional items, and operational equipment. Aid in the post-game teardown and organization.Fan Experience : Work closely with the fan engagement team to ensure a positive gameday experience for fans, including managing fan zones, promotional giveaways, and hospitality areas.Ticketing Support : Assist in ticket sales and distribution, including will-call operations and troubleshooting any ticket-related issues.Vendor & Partner Coordination : Support communication and coordination with vendors, sponsors, and media to ensure proper setup and functionality on game days.On-Field Management : Help with in-game operations, such as managing ball kids, assisting with halftime shows, and coordinating on-field promotions.Event Staff Supervision : Assist in managing volunteers and part-time staff to ensure smooth execution of their responsibilities throughout the event.Health & Safety Compliance : Ensure all safety protocols are followed and that the venue complies with local health and safety guidelines.Customer Service : Provide excellent customer service by addressing fan inquiries, resolving complaints, and enhancing the overall fan experience.Post-Game Reporting : Assist in compiling post-game reports, documenting operational successes, challenges, and areas for improvement.Qualifications :
Currently pursuing a degree in Sports Management, Event Management, Business, or a related field.Excellent organizational and time management skills.Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Passion for sports and a desire to work in the sports industry.Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the event schedule.Physical ability to lift and carry equipment (up to 50 lbs).Benefits :
