An entry-level position providing hands-on experience in collegiate summer baseball. Join the Lakeshore Chinooks for the summer to gain a behind-the-scenes experience like no other. You'll learn the ins and outs of a sports organization within the Northwoods League. As a Game Day Operations Intern, you will play a multifaceted role in ensuring an unforgettable experience for our fans and players at Moonlight Graham Field. This dynamic internship merges the responsibilities of three distinct positions into one exciting opportunity. This internship provides a unique opportunity to gain experience across various aspects of game day operations, making you an integral part of our team's success both on and off the field.
INTERN JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Facilitate on-field promotions and fan experiences• Implement the game entertainment schedule from start to finishCoordinate fan participants for in-between inning activitiesDistribute giveaways during select home games• Attend scheduled appearances throughout the season to promote the Chinooks within the communityOversee cleaning and organization of the team's clubhouseMaintain dugouts and bullpens• Ensure proper setup of batting practice equipment during pre-game.Clean, launder and prepare all player uniforms, personal items, and towels.Set up and take down the Kids Zone inflatables for each home gameMaintain cleanliness of stadium and fieldAssist with the setup, breakdown, and maintenance of all deck and hospitality areas within the ballpark, ensuring these spaces are guest-ready before, during, and after gamesPOSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Attend stadium set up & take down prior to and following the seasonQuality and accuracy of workMust be available for all Chinooks home games and various non-gameday communityappearances (which include weeknights, weekends, and some holidays)Completion of assigned tasks on scheduleExceptional interpersonal and communication skills• Must be able to lift 40+ poundsDetail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organizationAbility to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environmentEnthusiasm for engaging with fans and representing the Chinooks in the communityMust be a current student (undergraduate or graduate)Conformance to company personnel, safety, quality, and housekeeping policies, procedures, andpracticesComfortable interacting with all levels within the organization as well as outside contacts
