Job Description:
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our team as Operations Interns and contribute to some of the best baseball tournaments in the country! As an Operations Intern for Prep Baseball KC, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the day-to-day operations of a busy and dynamic baseball facility. You will work closely with our operations team to ensure the facility runs smoothly, creating a positive experience for our players, coaches, parents, and fans. This internship is ideal for individuals interested in sports management, facility operations, and event planning.
About Us:
Prep Baseball Kansas City operates 2 premier sports venues dedicated to providing a top-of-the-line tournament experience to players of all ages and skill levels. Two spectacular complexes with 14 total fields only 15 minutes apart hosting the same event week in and week out!Creekside Baseball Park
is located 15 minutes from the KCI airport, has a Holiday Inn Express on-site, 6 fields with turf infields and lights, freshly renovated grass outfields, batting cages, turf bullpens with plyo-walls and mounds, a full-size concession stand, covered dugouts and bleachers.Homefield Baseball Complex
is located 25 minutes from the airport, sits right across the highway from the Legends shopping center, and has many hotels and restaurants nearby as well as other amenities. As for the baseball fields?? There are brand new 8 fully turfed diamonds with lights, batting cages on each field, turf bullpens and mounds, two concession stands, covered dugouts and bleachers with much more to come.Key Responsibilities:
Facility Maintenance:
Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the facilities, including batting cages, pitching areas, and common areas.Customer Service:
Go above and beyond for players, coaches, and visitors, addressing inquiries and ensuring a positive experience for everyone at the facility.Event Support:
Assist in the coordination and execution of baseball events, tournaments, and leagues held at the facility, including setup, registration, and participant assistance.Equipment Management:
Inventory management of baseball equipment, ensuring availability and proper maintenance of gear such as bats, balls, and safety equipment.Data Entry:
Assist in updating records, schedules, participant information, and visitor feedback using computer software and databases.Adherence to Policies : Ensure compliance with facility rules, safety protocols, and operational procedures to maintain a secure and efficient environment.Qualifications:
Enthusiastic passion for baseball and sports management.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.Basic computer skills and familiarity with software applications.Availability to work flexible hours, including mostly weekends and evenings, as required by facility events and activities.Tournament Schedule :
We host a variety of college, high school and youth events beginning in February 2024 and ending in November. Spring and fall Tournaments are held Friday-Sunday, while Summer Tournaments can begin as early as Tuesday and run through Monday morning.
