Position Overview
The Clubhouse Operations Intern will report directly to the Director - Clubhouse Equipment & Operations to assist in the management and maintenance of both the home and visiting clubhouses during the 2025 Salem Red Sox season.The Clubhouse Operations Intern must be able to interact professionally with umpires, coaches, and players on both teams.
ResponsibilitiesAssist with clubhouse maintenance and upkeep including trash, cleaning and stocking bathrooms, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, etc., as neededAssist in loading/unloading team buses for team arrivals and departures, as neededAssist with team laundry and towelsAssist in keeping clubhouse snacks/beverages stockedAssist with preparation and set up of pre/post-game mealsSet up of dugout for early field work, batting practice, and game (includes putting out bubble gum, seeds, towels, water, and Gatorade)Provide general support and fulfill baseball-related requests from staff and playersProvide exemplary service to umpires, players & staffResponsible for maintaining cleanliness of tunnels, bullpens & dugoutsOccasionally, may be tasked with running errands outside the ballparkOccasionally, may be tasked to serve as batboy during gamesOther tasks, as assigned by the Director of Clubhouse OpsQualifications
Ability to perform all responsibilities listedAbility to work long hours(expect to work ~10 hours during game days, and ~30 hours during off-weeks)Reliable transportationAvailability for ALL (66) home games plus playoffs (April - September)Must be able to lift more than 50 lbs. and stand or walk for long periods of time in adverse weather including rain and heatPreferred Qualifications
A self-starter, with exemplary customer service skillsPossess superior organizational skills and cleanlinessWillingness to pursue a career in the sports industry
Compensation
The Clubhouse Operations Intern will be paid $1,000/mo (April - September). In addition, may receive tips from the Clubhouse Managers and umpires, at their discretion.
