Role Summary:
Mach is seeking a Mechanical Engineer who will be a key player in the development of our advanced weapons systems, focusing on structures and manufacturing. This role demands deep technical skills in CAD and finite element analysis, as well as a comprehensive understanding of manufacturing techniques like machining, composites, 3D printing, and casting. You will be a core member of the design team, contributing substantially to multiple projects.
Minimum Qualifications:
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited college or university in mechanical engineeringor other related engineering disciplines and graduating before August 2025. Proficiency in Solidworks or similar CAD software. Proficiency in finite element analysis. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. 6+ months experience of application of technical skills outside of the classroom (examples: laboratory, research, extracurricular project teams, volunteering, personal projects or prior internship/work experience). Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a professional team environment. Ability to work full-time onsite in Huntington Beach, CA. Applicant for this intern position must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful permanent resident (e.g., green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158. Preferred Qualifications: GPA of 3.5 or above. Familiarity with CFD tools like Ansys and/or OpenFOAM. Eagerness to learn and adapt in a dynamic startup environment. Engineering problem solving capabilities. Self-directed with a positive attitude and team spirit. Experience with real-time operating systems. Experience with aerodynamics and flight vehicle stability and control. Familiarity with defense industry standards and regulations. Security clearance or the ability to obtain one.

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offers may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and training, critical skills, and business considerations.
