The division of Information Technology Services is currently seeking a talented individual to fill the role of SharePoint Administrator. The SharePoint Administrator’s primary responsibility will be to help maintain and drive enhancements to the O365 tenant and intranet sites. The candidate must have hands-on administration and configuration skills with Office 365 tools including SharePoint and the ability to handle first-level user support/training requests, and experience designing advanced reports and dashboards. The SharePoint Administrator is responsible for the overall administration and assistance from internal staff and management of third-party applications. The SharePoint Administrator will work closely with members of the Web Services Application Development team and others within ITS.Core Skill Requirements
Working knowledge of SharePoint Online/OneDrive/O365 environment administration and configuration.Strong understanding of governance, security, and compliance within Microsoft environments.Experience with:
PowerShellPower Automate and BIJavaScriptAdvanced Web Parts
Specifically, the administration module knowledge and script development to execute SharePoint admin.SharePoint Administrator Responsibilities
Manage Microsoft 365 services, SharePoint Online, Teams, and OneDrive for Business.Adding users, controlling access to document libraries, and setting permissions.Performing maintenance of the SharePoint platform, servers, and intranet.Troubleshooting and resolving SharePoint issues or malfunctions.Providing SharePoint support and end-user training.Performing data retrieval and backup procedures to prevent data loss.Ensuring sufficient storage space by performing clean-ups and archiving data.Provide guidance and recommendations for enterprise deployments of SharePoint.Able to understand, develop, and perform advanced PowerShell commands.Maintain current industry knowledge of development concepts, best practices, and procedures for SharePoint solutions.Ensures compliance with policies and procedures including STIG requirements.Provide technical support to internal end users, addressing a wide range of endpoint and software issues.Contribute to maintaining the Help Desk ticketing system including ticket resolution and reporting.Participate in planning and execution of tasks related to the evaluation of new SharePoint features such as new updates coming in from Microsoft Online.Perform typical system administrative activities such as backup, restore, and issue resolution.SharePoint Administrator Requirements
Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or similar.At least 3 years' experience as a SharePoint administrator.Solid knowledge of Windows operating systems, as well as SQL Server, Power BI, PowerShell, and Office 365.Knowledge of SharePoint tools, including ULS Logs, workflows, and SharePoint forms for tasks.Superb collaboration, interpersonal, and communication skills.Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities.Excellent organizational and time-management skills.Keys to Success
