Primary ResponsibilitiesThe primary duties for this position will require the experience and knowledge of performing NYSDOT Highway & Bridge Construction Engineering & Inspection (CEI) duties including construction inspection, and the understanding construction project administration methods and processes.This person will perform field inspection, material testing, and documentation along with other tasks.This individual must have the ability to read and interpret and enforce construction plans, specifications, and other contract documents, and identify discrepancies or conflicts within the documents.Work will primarily be in Westchester, Rockland, Orange, Putnam, and Dutchess County.
Preferred QualificationsNY State Thruway Authority or NY State Department of Transportation experience a plus.A current NICET Highway / Bridge Construction Certification, Level II (or NICET II equivalent) is preferred.Relevant Industry Certifications.Ability to interpret construction schedules.Local candidates preferred.
Required QualificationsHigh School diploma or equivalent.Experience in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).Ability to work independently and as part of a team.This position typically requires successfully passing drug-screening procedures prior to being hired; thereafter subject to random and cause drug and alcohol testing.An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.
