Business Development and Operations Principal/Associate

Beacon AI , you will support the smooth operation of our fast-growing business by managing key business development and operational tasks, engaging with customers and stakeholders, and facilitating internal processes. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the expansion of our business, manage customer relationships, ongoing customer engagements, support executive visits, and help create and distribute materials like decks and reports. This role is ideal for someone with a strong business acumen and a proactive mindset, looking to grow their skills in a dynamic tech environment.Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Development:
Leverage strong analytic skills to find and qualify customers, understand market sizing and opportunities, and maintain great customer relationships.
CRM Management : Maintain and manage our CRM system to accurately track customer interactions, sales leads, and engagement metrics.
Customer Engagement : Support customer-facing activities, including scheduling and coordinating customer visits, virtual meetings, and follow-up communications.
Proposal Management:
Work across the organization to identify, qualify, and generate winning proposals to expand the business with federal and commercial customers.
Investor, Industry, and Customer Engagement : Help plan and coordinate visits from investors, partners, and customers, ensuring a smooth and professional experience.
Operational Support : Assist in the day-to-day operations of the business, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and supporting ongoing improvements to workflows.
Presentations : Assist in the creation, formatting, and distribution of presentation materials for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring they are aligned with company messaging and goals.
Project Coordination : Help coordinate special projects and initiatives, ensuring they are executed on time and within scope.
Data Analysis : Compile and analyze business performance data, providing insights that inform strategic decision-making.
Process Improvement : Identify operational inefficiencies and suggest improvements to streamline processes.
Role RequirementsBachelor’s degree
in Business, Operations, or a related field.
2-3 years of experience
in management consulting, business development, business operations, or a related role, preferably in a tech or software company.
Experience in (including as a management consultant) defense or commercial aerospace technology products, business development, or the broader technology sector with experience in autonomy or drones.
Experience managing CRM systems and handling customer engagement tasks.
Strong skills in presentation creation (Google Slides, PowerPoint), including designing and delivering high-quality decks.
Familiarity with tools such as Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and project management software (ClickUp, Asana or similar).
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

Excellent knowledge of the defense or commercial aviation procurement process.
Additional experience in finance or accounting.
