Overview

The Business Analyst position will be crucial to the Iovance Business Analytics and Insights team. This hands-on position will oversee all aspects of commercial insight generation, from CRM design to performance reporting. The individual will be a key member of the Commercial Operations team and will be responsible for implementing processes, systems, and tools to support activities such as sales productivity and effectiveness, customer targeting and alignment, customer relationship management (CRM), incentive compensation (IC), and executive reporting. The individual will work closely with the field teams from the Commercial and Medical Affairs functions and IT partners. An ideal candidate will have exceptional technical skills and be a creative problem-solver.

Must be local to the Bay Area.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

Execute commercial analytics projects at Iovance, providing robust and data-driven analytics and recommendations to the organizationDrive and implement automation to empower the organization to scale efficiently and flexiblyReport on proposals, roadmaps, solutions, and project updates to leadership regularlyBuild strong relationships with internal partners (e.g., IT, Sales, Market Access, etc.), collaborating effectively to ensure team success and attainment of business objectivesCreate structured and ad hoc reports to assess key performance indicatorsCollaborate with IT and external vendor partners on strategic initiativesPerform data management tasks - customer master, crosswalks between data sources, etc.Maintain sales roster and calculate incentive compensation for field teamsAnalyze disparate commercial data to synthesize and generate insights, including the following: Longitudinal insurance claims data, 3PL and other trade data, CRM data, Payer policy data, etc., ultimately converting data analytics into strategic recommendations for the commercial teamContribute to a collaborative, engaging, and development-focused culture across the broader Global Analytics and Commercial Operations teamMust adhere to Iovance Biotherapeutics' core values, policies, procedures, and business ethics.Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.Travel - Up to 20%

Required Education, Skills, and Knowledge

BA, BS degree required. A degree in business, science, or engineering preferred0-2 years of experience as a Business AnalystStrong attention to detail is necessary to deliver high-quality analytics and reports to leadership.Have Business Intelligence experience in data collection, aggregation, analysis, visualization, data enrichment, and storytellingExpertise in Excel and PowerPointWorking knowledge of SQL, PythonSolid interpersonal skills and ability to work independently and effectively cross-functionallyAble to flourish in a small, agile, often ambiguous entrepreneurial company environmentPreferred Education, Skills, and Knowledge

Experience working at a US pharmaceutical/biotech firmAt least six months of work experience in a quantitative environment, inclusive of internshipsExperience analyzing pharmaceutical sales and marketing data, such as insurance claimsProficiency in Tableau and RThe physical demands described here represent those that an employee must meet to perform the essential functions of this job successfully.
