Senior Manager, Category Management & Insights

is crucial in growing the No7 Beauty Company business and the categories in which we compete within Walgreens. This role is designed to unlock growth opportunities by deeply understanding Walgreens’ business and leveraging insights to drive strategic decisions. This growth will be achieved by identifying consumer trends, category dynamics, and competitive strategies and tactics as well as a deep understanding of the Walgreens shopper. These insights will be used to make recommendations that will influence our sales, marketing, strategy & planning, and customer teams. The overarching goal of this role is to blend traditional category management with insights-driven business storytelling.This hybrid position is primarily based at our Chicago office, with a required on-site presence of at least three days per week. You also have the flexibility to work from our Deerfield office. Attendance at either location may be required on specific days to attend important company events.Key ResponsibilitiesLead efforts to grow No7 Beauty Company’s presence and sales within Walgreens by blending traditional category management with insights-driven business storytelling that optimize our space and assortment productivity.Identify consumer trends, category dynamics and competitive activities. Utilize these insights to develop actionable recommendations that influence sales, marketing, strategy & planning, and customer teams.Work closely with Walgreens to understand their business priorities and challenges, using this knowledge to align our strategies and drive mutual growth.Analyze category performance, sales data, and market research in partnership with the global insights team to uncover opportunities for growth and improvement. Present insights, in a compelling manner to internal and external stakeholders, that drive action.Collaborate with internal departments, including sales, marketing, strategy & planning, and customer teams, to ensure alignment and execution of growth initiatives.Develop and communicate a clear, compelling business narrative that integrates insights and category management principles to support decision-making and strategy development.Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders at Walgreens to foster a collaborative partnership and ensure alignment on business objectives.Proactively mine Walgreens internal and syndicated data sources to discover actionable insights.Develop and maintain best in class reporting to support the team’s business analysis and planning.Develop and Optimize No7 Beauty Company space and assortment through retailer line reviews.Create a Perfect Store strategy for product placement.Analyze the No7 Beauty Company competitors’ behaviors, strategies, and tactics and recommend new ways of going to market with Walgreens.Identify current and emerging strategies from competitive retailers and recommend ways to win in the constantly changing marketplace.Recommend new areas for innovation based on current consumer trends.Build and maintain a wide network of both internal and external customer relationships, individually and through the local and global team.Support the development of content for top to top and strategic customer engagements.In conjunction with the account teams maximize our sales fundamentals contributions.Support the Global Category Director and US Director of Insights & Category Management to embed category management processes locally.Form part of the national Category Management team to translate national strategies into Walgreens go-to-market initiatives.A bit about you…5+ years of Consumer Packaged Goods category management, insights experience.Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights and recommendations.Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and compelling way.Experience in working with cross-functional teams and influencing stakeholders at various levels.Deep understanding of retail business dynamics, preferably with experience in working with Walgreens or similar retailers.Authority on market insights and category strategy development.Strong analytical skills, commercial acumen, and agility.Prior experience in POG / Space Planning tools.Able to synthesize commercial & market insights to drive actions.Able to work with multiple continuous data sources.Outstanding communication skills and ability to work in a highly matrixed organization.Highly skilled in relationship management across a network of stakeholders (internal & external).Strong organizational and time management skills and ability to prioritize.Able to work effectively in a team, but also self-sufficient and resilient.Creates a culture of innovation, pushing boundaries and the confidence to explore new ways of working.A bit about us…We are No7 Beauty Company, a division of Walgreens Boots Alliance, a modern consumer goods company with purpose, that combines the best of traditional companies with the vibrancy and pace of a new digital-first business.With operations in North America, Europe and Asia, we offer beauty products that consumers can trust wherever they are in the world.
