OverviewPurpose Statement/Position Summary:The Business Operations and Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing the financial operations and budget management of the Department's outreach and clinical activities. This role involves conducting detailed financial analysis and modeling, developing, and managing annual budgets, preparing financial reports, and monitoring monthly and quarterly expenses. The manager will also create budget variance reports and provide timely, accurate financial and business data to inform strategic planning, business development, and decision-making processes within the Department. This position requires close collaboration with departmental leadership and may involve supervising staff to ensure effective financial and operational support. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical, planning, and project management skills, along with excellent communication abilities to effectively convey complex financial information.
Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience:Required:
5 years of progressively responsible experience in accounting, financial management, or strategic planning.• Strong proficiency in PC applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation software, with an intermediate skill level in Excel.• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively interact with staff, researchers, and faculty.• Proven ability to anticipate and resolve problems, manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously, and drive issues to completion.• Proficient in operating a PC with relevant software and using telecommunication tools.Preferred:
Experience in Clinical Finance and/or Grants Management is highly desirable.Education/Licensure/Certification:Required:
Bachelor’s Degree required.Preferred:
Master’s Degree in Business Administration, or Healthcare Administration preferred.
Pay Scale Information$89,440.00-$160,992.00

The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates that meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this specific job description.
