Merchandise Planner

A Lifestyle Apparel, Accessories and Home Goods brand is in search of a full time Merchandiser Planner to add to their team. This role has a focus on Digital Planning for DTC channels.
You will play a critical role in optimizing our product assortment, inventory levels, and sales strategies to maximize online revenue and profitability. You will collaborate closely with the buying, marketing, and analytics teams to ensure that product offerings are aligned with customer demand and market trends. Analytical skills and strategic mindset will be key in developing and executing effective merchandise plans that enhance our online presence and drive growth.Demand Planning and Forecasting:
Develop and maintain accurate sales forecasts for e-commerce product categories.Analyze historical sales data, market trends, and consumer behavior to inform demand planning.Adjust forecasts based on promotional activities, seasonality, and other influencing factors.Inventory Management:
Monitor inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability and turnover rates.Collaborate with the supply chain and logistics teams to manage stock replenishment and allocation.Identify slow-moving and overstocked items and develop strategies for liquidation.Assortment Planning:
Work with the buying team to curate a product assortment that meets customer needs and market trends.Conduct competitive analysis to identify gaps and opportunities in the product range.Recommend new product introductions and discontinuations based on performance metrics.Sales and Performance Analysis:
Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as sales, margins, and sell-through rates.Provide regular performance reports and insights to senior management and cross-functional teams.Identify and implement strategies to optimize product performance and profitability.Promotional Planning:
Partner with the marketing team to develop and execute promotional strategies that drive online sales.Evaluate the effectiveness of promotional activities and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.Ensure promotional plans are aligned with inventory levels and sales forecasts.Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field.3-5 years of experience in merchandise planning, preferably within an e-commerce environment.Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis and forecasting tools.Excellent understanding of e-commerce metrics and performance drivers.Proficient in Microsoft Excel and experience with inventory management systems.Experience with Shopify, Tableau, Anaplan and an ERP system.Strong communication and organizational skills.Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.Benefits:
