Create the Master Production Schedule (MPS) based on production capacity, materials availability and contractual requirementsObtain agreement from production, materials and program office before execution of the MPSMaintain the MPS filesEnsure closeout of old programs/jobs to include the disposition of all requisition, purchase orders and residual inventoryMonitor shipping performance to MPS and contract and create tracking reportsTrack and report the number of changes to each MPSInterfacing with contracts, planning, master scheduling and production to create and maintain the Internal Operating Plan (IOP)Ensure product is moving from production to packaging to shippingCreate reports that show actual shipments against projectionsWork closely with manufacturing to establish and evolve a stable manufacturing scheduleImprove current system, functions, and daily operations to more effectively meet goalsResponsible for rescheduling daily delivery requirements if problems require a re-plan to meet internal needs and contractual obligationsConsolidate demand for purchase requisitionsSupport, communicate and defend the mission, values and culture of the companyQualifications
Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years demonstrated experienceSolid understanding of business processes and functional inter-relationshipsStrong background in project material managementExtensive experience in production planningSkilled in the use of Excel, Excel Pivot Tables, Power Point, Word, as well as SharepointExcellent understanding of MRP systemsTaking care of our people is a top priority at Leonardo DRS.
