The Manager of Supply Chain is responsible for execution of the entire supply chain in a complex, high mix/low volume business. This includes: supplier management, materials procurement, inventory management, supplier development, risk mitigation, KPI improvements, and new product prototype sourcing plan. In this new role you will lead a group of procurement professionals (8) and a supplier development engineer to establish and manage sourcing strategies to support our business plan. This position requires internal and external cross-functional collaboration and relationship management. The candidate must demonstrate strong strategic planning, influencing, and communication skills to be successful in this role. You will be challenged daily to procure materials and highly complex parts for innovative designs destined to be deployed in one of the harshest environments on earth, the deep ocean.Job Description
Provide leadership to the Supply Chain team that includes performance management, mentoring, hiring, development and training.Develop and facilitate the overall supply chain strategy including cost reductions, lead-time improvements, logistics management, inventory management and supplier development.Facilitate complex supplier negotiations, material cost reduction efforts, pricing and delivery improvements.Utilize lean principles to remove waste, optimize procurement processes, and drive continuous improvement across the supply chain organization.Develop and execute a sourcing strategy for critical suppliers and risk mitigation that meets our aggressive growth plans.Work closely with product development teams to coordinate Supply Chain deliverables needed to meet prototype and production ramp schedules.Track supplier Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost (SQDC) performance and drive improvement.Manage and negotiate software licensing applications to support Schilling technology.Ensure supply chain activities comply with corporate requirements, like export compliance, COO, etc.Where appropriate, leverage spend by working in conjunction with the Global sourcing team.You are meant for this job if:
BS degree in Supply Chain or related field.10+ years of successful supply chain experience with demonstrated leadership, understanding of supply chain transactional procurement, negotiation skills, analytics, logistics, strategic sourcing, building effective relationships, and an understanding of Lean manufacturing principles.3+ year management experience.Ability to analyze and solve a wide range of complex technical and business challenges utilizing an array of problem solving methodologies.Technical knowledge in machining (& additive manufacturing), hydraulics, electronics, and OSV processes (preferred).Experience in Project Management, Daily utilization of ERP systems, Data driven transformation of KPIs, logistics, and ability to manage several projects simultaneously.Experience assessing, selecting, developing, and managing supplier relationships.Effective communication and negotiation skills.Strong analytical and organizational skills with proficiency in financial acumen.Salary information:
96,500 - 137,800 - 179,100This pay scale is intended to comply with applicable state minimum wage laws. In the event that state minimum wage provides for compensation in excess of the lower end of the range reflected herein, that lower end should automatically be read to reflect the minimum wage required by state law. If and when the Company learns of such a discrepancy, it will promptly adjust the scale to comply with state law. Under no circumstances, however, should any scale provided by the Company herein be read or interpreted to suggest that the Company intends to pay below state mandated minimum wage for this position.Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. without restriction. For this position we are not sponsoring or taking over sponsorship of an employment visa at this time.Work Environment:
