Job Purpose

The role directly manages Americas based suppliers for Surface business, including direct services and products. The role is dotted line to the surface category team, thus it requires extensive interaction with all key managers in the surface category team and will be part of the team who manages around 350 suppliers and a direct spend of $200M between NAM & SAM. This role will support the category managers in defining suppliers risk profile, development, SCRL.

Job Description

Develop, execute and maintain America' based supply chain in line with category strategy (products and services)Support manufacturing Hub in execution, driving and monitoring suppliers' performance.Provide guidelines and consultancy for regional execution of non-globally managed category needs.Provide tools and guidance for category team members to develop, execute and sustain sub-category or specific supply chain strategies.Identify opportunities and suppliers that can provide materials which result in a clearly identifiable advantage in functionality, price, quality, delivery reliability, logistics, business-to-business integration, currencies and/or reduced total cost.Support category team in establishing partnership and agreement in line with the compliance.This position will work across all functional areas, including Manufacturing, Quality, Finance, Operations, Project Management and Engineering.This position will interact with multiple supplier functions to identify and developing Critical to Safety, Quality, Delivery, Process and Performance aspects.Support category in reporting suppliers' quarterly performance against strategies and goals.Develop, communicate, and manage specific supplier improvement initiatives, especially cost reductions, engineering/specification changes to the specific category items, material quality improvements and delivery reliability improvement initiatives.You are meant for this job if:

Must have ability work in a matrix organizationMust be able to provide guidance and motivation to reports and build effective relationships with peers and extended teamDegree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Engineering or relevant subject requireCandidate will typically have 10 years' experience including some supervisory and/or management experience.Industry knowledge from the Oil and Gas equipment and services area is preferred. Must demonstrate ability to develop, improve and implement processes, policies and procedures that impacts the function.Must also demonstrate ability to troubleshoot and develop strategic implementation plans for new concepts and ideas as required by senior leaders and business objectives.Candidate must demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills in English.Requires expert knowledge of at least one functional area, with general knowledge of other related functions
