About Stewards:
Stewards Individual Placements (Stewards) provides individuals with service and career opportunities to strengthen communities and preserve our natural resources. Participants work with federal agencies, tribal governments, and nonprofits building institutional capacity, developing community relationships, and supporting ecosystem health.
About the Site and Position:
PNTS connects, strengthens and amplifies a vibrant network of partners united to preserve, enhance and promote National Historic & Scenic Trails. The Membership Coordinator will work with trails across the country, participate in planning for events during the 250th commemoration of the Declaration of Independence and will have the opportunity to travel to the Fall 2024 National Trails Workshop. This will allow them to make connections in the field for their future career while supporting the entire Trails System and preparing for a major national celebration.
This position is fully remote!
Member Duties:
Work directly with Member groups on data collection
Work on the design of the data collection
Work directly with other PNTS staff to plan for programs and events along the Selma to Montgomery NHT
Work directly with member groups to plan for three “Our Voices Remain” events in 2025
Attend 2024 Workshop in Tucson, Arizona in November and attend 2025 Hike the Hill in Washington DC in February to provide event support (All PNTS staff members attend these events)
Work with Executive Director to create a better design for reporting out member data
Work on specialized projects with the Trail Apprentice program at the direction of the Education Manager
