Manager of ResaleBackground:Homeboy Electronics Recycling is building a world in which our human and natural resources are valued, not wasted. Our mission is to provide our customers with the highest quality electronics reuse and recycling solutions while employing people who face systemic barriers to work. We are an R2-certified (Responsible Recycling), award-winning social enterprise that is part of the Homeboy Industries family.Summary of Responsibilities:This position is responsible for utilizing and improving business systems to sell refurbished electronics and other products. Key activities include: helping to identify valuable items; pricing and managing inventory; listing products for sale (and rental) across multiple electronic marketplaces; expanding the company’s presence on those marketplaces; fulfilling orders; and helping to train other staff to perform activities. The E-Commerce Lead will ensure customer satisfaction and maintain account ranking across all sales channels while helping to develop and improve sales, marketing, and customer processes.Main Responsibilities:Product SalesManage product listings across multiple electronic marketplaces as well as physical locations.Maintain online product catalogs, managing the creation of new product listings and removal of out-of-stock product listings.Help ensure consistent, accurate, and well-written (spelling and grammar) descriptions based on product specifications and functionality testing data, as well as professional product photos and/or videos.Perform quality assurance to ensure templates and links are functioning properly, and that items are accurately represented.Ensure items being sold have been tested to company standards and quality, environmental, health, and safety (QEHS) requirements, including sanitization of any data or customer-identifying features.Manage changes to product listings based on market trends, promotions, competition, etc.Provide fast, responsive, and professional customer service via multiple channels, including email, chat, text, and phone.Ensure adequate supply of packaging and shipping materials is always on hand.Manage order fulfillment and timely shipping of sold items (typically within 24 hours of sale).Manage returns and warranty claims in a timely manner. Communicate with colleagues to minimize these and other defects in the future.Maintain Top Rated Plus status on all online platforms.Support rental (vs. sales) of products as needed.Training and Staff DevelopmentOn a daily basis, help direct the activities of trainees and/or employees who are assigned resale responsibilities. Provide training support and guidance as needed.Help identify training needs and development opportunities for resale team members.Sales Channel Development and MaintenanceHelp manage, maintain and expand the company's presence on marketplaces such as eBay, Tradeloop, Reverb, Tanga, Newegg, Craigslist, OfferUp, etc. as well on our own sites.Understand marketplace pricing and audience, tailoring product listings to those factors.Develop templates and workflow integrations to increase efficiency.Product MarketingSupport marketing efforts across various channels, including creating content to advertise products as well as designing, implementing, and assessing marketing campaigns.Help ensure that brand aesthetics are maintained across all sales and marketing channels.Pricing and Inventory ManagementHelp optimally price items based on a variety of factors.Help prepare and execute promotions across channels.Documentation and ReportingDocument and communicate best practices to managers and other colleagues.Provide accurate and timely sales reports to leadership and help refine sales reporting systems.Monitor personal and team KPIs (key performance indicators) and submit productivity reports.Basic Qualifications/Requirements:Electronics aficionado with knowledge of different brands, features, and specifications and an ability to effectively describe/discuss items with buyers.Minimum 2 years of experience e-Commerce marketplaces (eBay, Tradeloop, Reverb, Tanga, Newegg, Amazon, Craigslist, Offer Up, etc.), shopping cart systems (Shopify, WooCommerce, etc.), and/or retail channels.Tech savvy with computer hardware/software, internet, and mobile applications.Strong oral and written communication skills, with a natural customer service orientation.Comfortable with Google and Microsoft suites of applications and using databases to record, query, and report data.High attention to detail with solid analytical and quantitative skills.Ability to work both independently, with initiative, and as an effective member/leader of a team.Ability to problem solve, multitask, and meet objectives in a fast-paced environment.Additional Desired Qualifications/Experience:Experience with multi-channel and cross-listing tools such as SellerCloud, Inkfrog, etc.1-3 years experience using: Google Analytics, Google Ad Campaigns, and ERP/CRM.Additional Position InformationClassification: Non-Exempt (Hourly), according to FLSA guidelines.Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K.Work Conditions: Industrial warehouse environment. Regular standing and sitting at a desk with frequent use of computers, phones, and other communication technologies. Some exposure to adjacent areas with occasional loud noises from machinery, tools, and equipment.Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift 30 pounds (up to 50 pounds infrequently).Work Schedule: With the exception of the travel listed below, this role requires an on-site presence Monday - Friday from 8:30am - 5:15pm.Other: This position includes occasional travel within the Los Angeles metro area and elsewhere in California or other states. Occasional evening or weekend availability may be necessary.
