AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we’re the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on.
This role will be responsible for ensuring that elements of hardware readiness are ensured, primarily through partnership with strategic vendors. This readiness can cover areas such as inventory availability and hardware production processes.
Key job responsibilitiesThe key responsibilities of this role include:
Develop/maintain the proper touch points with our vendor partners to ensure hardware readiness
Negotiate with vendors when necessary
Identify/execute improvements in their processes
Create robust standard work documents for their role to enable predictability and scalability
Provide written statuses of their programs to various levels of leadership
A day in the life of this role involves checking on the status of hardware deliverables with our vendor partners, addressing any issues with readiness and ensuring the organization is aware of the status. Additionally, the PM will work closely with their peers to solve problems and collaborate on opportunities for improvement.
