Media Relations ManagerKey Role:
Support market-facing media relations in the U.S. government, commercial and international markets, as well as corporate media relations activities. Engage with teams across Booz Allen, collaborate with diverse stakeholders, forge and strengthen stakeholder relationships, and directly create and lead strategies that have a tangible impact on the business. Access growth opportunities as both a communications expert and a people leader, supported by professional development, mentorship, and hands-on experiential learning. Demonstrate knowledge of the latest communications tactics and capabilities, excellent writing skills, a strong strategic vision for creative media programs, and experience in providing media relations to technology firms and the U.S. government. Apply best practices on media-related measurement and analytics. Provide media support for senior executives, daily direction of members of an external PR agency team, and coordinate traditional media with paid, shared, and owned media channels. Develop and execute market-facing media relations strategy and ongoing coordination with Booz Allen's business, government relations, marketing, and community impact teams. Demonstrate executive presence with the ability to continue building Booz Allen's relationship with business, national, technology, industry trade, and international journalists. Utilize earned, paid, and owned media channels, work with energy and creativity to build a positive brand image, create visibility, engagement, and awareness for Booz Allen's thought leadership, services, technologies, and products, and promote its vision and successful client work.Basic Qualifications:10+ years of experience with media relations in the technology industry, government agencies, or corporate communications fieldExperience in integrated communications, including marketing, branding, and message developmentExperience supporting senior executivesExperience managing integrated media or marketing campaigns, including traditional print and broadcast media and digital, video, and graphics productionExperience in PR agency work or managing and directing members of a PR agency team as a client, including a record of developing and introducing innovative practicesExperience as a supervisorExperience supporting events for media relationsBachelor's degreeAdditional Qualifications:Experience with International media relations, including with Europe or the Indo Pacific regionExperience with Commercial media relationsExperience with Crisis communicationsPossession of excellent interpersonal, organizational, research, writing, and editing skillsPossession of excellent oral and written communication skillsCompensationAt Booz Allen, we celebrate your contributions, provide you with opportunities and choices, and support your total well-being. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
