TriLink Biotechnologies is seeking a #MiracleMaker to join our Chemistry team as a Senior Scientist, Bioinformatics. As a Senior Scientist, Bioinformatics you will be responsible for bioinformatics pipeline and informatics development and maintenance, maintaining and developing NGS software, developing QC methods using NGS for mRNA, gRNA and pDNA.

How you will make an impact:

Develop, optimize and apply pipelines and algorithms for processing and analyzing biological data.

Work as a member of a team (with both outside and inside entities) to develop algorithms for analysis of NGS data.

Conduct independent data analysis and interpretation, and generate reports as per specifications.

Evaluate tools and coordinate efforts between the project teams and IT groups to define, validate and implement software for data management and analysis.

Work with business development and product development teams to evaluate new opportunities in algorithm and/or software development related to RNA-seq NGS applications.

Perform other functions and duties as required.

The skills and experience that you will bring:

PhD in Bioinformatics, Statistics, Computer Science, Biology or Genetics, with a strong background in applied genomic data analysis and 5 years related experience.

Strong experience with building/supporting/using bioinformatics pipelines.

Strong background and hands-on experience in genomic sequence analysis, NGS analysis, and pathway/network.

Excellent statistical analysis skills of high-throughput biological data, including RNA-seq.

Proficiency in programming in C, C++, C#, Java, Python, R or Perl, et al.

Strong ability to collaborate with teams of research scientists, bioinformaticians, software developers, and external collaborators.

Machine learning and data-driven analysis skills is a plus.

Relevant mRNA industry experience preferred.

Other basic bioinformatics skills (cloning design, primer design, local alignments, in silico translation, etc.), with gene editing guide RNA design as a plus.

CA Full-Time Exempt Only:

The anticipated salary range for this position is $116,300 - $136,000. In addition, highly competitive long-term incentives in the form of company equity, bonus participation and company sponsored benefits are provided as part of the total compensation package. The salary offer will depend on multiple factors which may include the successful candidate's skills, experience and other qualifications, as well as the location of the role.
