Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Converter Designer to join our innovative Mixed Signal Chip team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing high-performance high-speed ADCs for battery-powered applications, with a focus on high-resolution SAR ADCs and Class D (Sigma-Delta ADC-based) designs to drive transducers used in audio and haptics applications.

In this role, you will develop solutions that prioritize low power consumption, high efficiency, and exceptional performance. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including digital designers, analog power management designers, system engineers, and product engineers, to deliver cutting-edge solutions for the next generation of consumer electronics.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the design and development of mixed signal ADC circuits, including Class D amplifiers and signal conditioning circuits, to drive high-performance transducers in audio and haptic systems.

Optimize circuits for low-power consumption in battery-operated devices, ensuring high efficiency while maintaining audio or haptic performance.

Collaborate with mixed-signal and power management design teams to integrate mixed signal blocks into complex SoCs.

Work with system architects to define specifications and ensure data converter subsystems meet performance requirements.

Conduct simulations (e.g., Cadence, SPICE) and validate designs through laboratory testing with advanced measurement equipment.

Work with cross-functional teams globally to ensure designs meet customer requirements and are manufacturable at scale.

Required Qualifications:

Expert-level experience in mixed signal (data converter) circuit design, particularly with high-speed ADCs and Class D amplifier topologies in low-power, battery-operated systems.

Proven track record in designing mixed signal ICs, including filters, ADC/DAC interfaces, and power management circuits.

Strong understanding of audio and haptic transducer technology and system-level considerations for maximizing performance.

Proficiency in simulation tools such as Cadence, Spectre, SPICE, or equivalent.

Experience in layout considerations for analog/mixed-signal circuits and collaborating with layout engineers for first-time silicon success.

Hands-on experience with lab measurement equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, audio analyzers, and network analyzers) for design characterization and validation.

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Strong communication skills for effective interfacing with global teams and customers.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with audio systems, especially in optimizing audio signal paths and transducer integration.

Knowledge of haptics and tactile feedback technologies, particularly for efficient drive circuitry.

Familiarity with EMI/EMC challenges in audio and haptic systems and experience designing for compliance.

Experience with battery-powered consumer electronics, balancing performance and power efficiency.

Why Join Us:

This role offers the opportunity to work on innovative technologies that shape the future of consumer electronics. You’ll join a team dedicated to pushing the boundaries of analog circuit design, contributing to advanced products in the industry. If you’re passionate about audio and haptics and want to see your innovations come to life in exciting products, we encourage you to apply.

This role promises challenges and rewards as you work on state-of-the-art designs and help bring groundbreaking technology to market.
