Description:Summary:
The Director of Human Resources and Administration is responsible for assisting the Senior Vice President of Human Resources in all employee-related matters as well as all administrative functions for the organization that includes the overall administration, coordination, and evaluation of the Human Resource function. This includes planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and human resource programs and practices.
Purpose:
The Director of Human Resources and Administration reports to the Senior Vice President of Human Resources and acts as staff and support to the organization’s human resource and administrative needs, practices, and processes. The Director of Human Resources assists the Senior Vice President of Human Resources in acting as an independent communications channel for investigations and resolution of employee-related discrepancies and complaints, and in such capacity, acts as an independent and objective body that reviews and recommends proper actions.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assists in the Development and Implementation of HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business objectives.
Manage the recruitment and selection process of New Hire employment working in unison with the Human Resources Onboarding HR designee.
Develop and administer various HR policies and procedures for all company personnel. This includes the development, recommendation, writing, implementation and monitoring of such policies and procedures.
Assists in the benefit administration of open enrollments, change reporting, approving invoices for payment, annual reevaluation of policies for cost-effectiveness, and claims resolution.
Implements and annually updates the organization’s Performance Evaluation and Review process. This includes scheduling of annual reviews, preparing and monitoring the automated process, and the review of all personnel evaluations to ensure compliance with company objectives and headcount/salary budgets.
Assists the SVP-HR in the submission of annual budget information to Management as it relates to the HR company function. This includes annual budgets for all benefits, corporate insurance, and HR headcount/salary recommendations.
Coordinates and works with the SVP HR in managing all aspects of compliance reporting including EEO-1 forms, 5500 Forms, PPACAForms, Work Opportunity Tax and Federal Empowerment Zone (WOTZ/FEZ) filings, etc.
Establishes and securely maintains department records and reports with regards to HIPPA requirements and Privacy of Information regulations, as well as administers E-Verify system, and all Drug Screen/Background requests and related information.,
Responsible for companywide human resources planning and development. Assist with unusual personnel problems, decisions involving a high dollar impact referred to supervisor, etc.
Perform other duties as required.
Requirements:Education and Experience Requirements
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field is required.
Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or Organizational Development is strongly preferred.
Professional HR certifications (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) are highly desirable.
Experience:
Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in Human Resources, with at least 5 years in a leadership or senior HR management role.
Demonstrated experience developing and implementing HR strategies that align with business goals and organizational culture.
Proven expertise in areas such as talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, compliance, compensation and benefits, and organizational development.
Prior experience managing an HR team, with a strong track record of building and developing high-performing teams.
Familiarity with HR information systems (HRIS), such as Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, ADP, or similar platforms, is essential.
Experience working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities.
