With an in-house design department, we specialize in design-build projects.As a Site Safety Manager, you’ll ensure that all on-site work practices meet local, state, and federal safety requirements. You’ll perform inspections, observe construction operations, and participate in the pre-construction planning process to provide input about the safety program. You’ll be part of the project’s key personnel team on-site. With your eye on a target of 100% safety, you’ll support the construction team by actively engaging in dialogue about safety concerns and passionately working to find practical proactive solutions to create continuous safety improvement.What we offer:

Interact with subcontractors, owner’s representatives, and other contractors on behalf of the company to resolve safety challenges.Assist the construction team in incident notification procedures.Conduct or assist with incident investigations to determine root cause and identify corrective actions.Work with the Superintendent to manage unsafe situations and find a safe outcome.Develop and deliver safety training as needed for the projects.Develop and enforce the site-specific Accident Prevention Plan (APP).Lead morning tailgate safety meetings and morning stretches.Stay current with changes in safety regulations such as EM 385-1-1, OSHA, and Cal-OSHA.Conduct and document daily safety and health inspections.Maintain site safety records, such as inspection logs, near-miss reports, safety and health deficiency tracker, and daily production reports.Maintain applicable site safety reference material on the job site.Attend project meetings.Conduct weekly safety meetings.Qualifications & Experience:

High School Diploma.Minimum five years’ experience in construction safety.Completed OSHA 30-Hour training course within the past three years.Average eight hours of safety training every year.Ability to pass a background check to gain access to work on military bases.USACE Construction Quality for Contractors certification is preferred.Completed EM 385-1-1 40-hour safety training course preferred.CPR/ First Aid/ AED training certification preferred.Experience with federal construction projects is preferred.
