Role Overview:

The Elementary School Director of Culture & Scholar Intervention at Ethos Classical is a visionary leader responsible for shaping and driving the school’s culture and intervention programs. This role focuses on developing a strategic vision that fosters an inclusive, positive, and supportive school environment aligned with Ethos Classical’s mission and values. The Director oversees the planning, implementation, and management of behavioral and academic interventions, social-emotional learning (SEL), and restorative practices, ensuring that the systems in place meet the diverse needs of scholars in Grades K- 4.

As a leader of this comprehensive program, the Director of Culture & Scholar Intervention will manage a team—including the Manager of Specialized Services, Manager of Culture, Manager of Scholar Intervention, and School Counselor—who execute the daily work of supporting scholars, while ensuring that strategic goals are met. The Director is responsible for guiding the overall direction, measuring success through data, and fostering strong partnerships between scholars, staff, and families to ensure that every scholar has the opportunity to thrive both academically and behaviorally.

Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field required. A Master’s degree in Educational Leadership, School Counseling, or Social Work is strongly preferred.

Experience:

Minimum of 3 years of school leadership experience in culture-focused or intervention-focused roles.

Proven experience working in diverse, high-need communities with demonstrated success in improving scholar behavior and academic outcomes.

Experience managing a team to implement restorative justice, SEL, and multi-tiered intervention systems (MTSS), with an emphasis on Tier 3 supports.

Certifications (Preferred):

Gifted Education, Special Education.

Skills:

Strategic leadership in behavior and academic intervention, staff development, project management, and multi-tasking across multiple initiatives.
