DMY Engineering Consultants Inc. (DMY) is a minority-owned, geotechnical, environmental, construction management, and inspections firm serving clients throughout the Mid-Atlantic region that provides a wide range of support to state, county, public, and commercial clients.
DMY is seeking to hire an entry-level or junior scientist with any of the following science degree background: geology, biology, chemistry, soil science, or environmental science (or related). The ideal candidate will be required to work independently as well as part of an environmental team.

Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs)
Phase II ESAs,
Transaction Screen Assessments (TSAs)
Vapor Intrusion Assessments
Logging Soil Borings
Monitoring Well Installations
Field and office work related to groundwater and soil investigations and media sampling
Industrial Hygiene services including asbestos, lead-based paint, mold, radon, and indoor air quality assessments
Underground Storage Tank (USTs) Closures, Assessments, Compliance
Aboveground Storage Tank (ASTs) Management
Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasures (SPCC) Plans
Drinking Water Surveys
Stormwater Sampling
RCRA Compliance Inspections
Understanding of local, state, federal environmental regulations
May be required to obtain various environmental certifications related to the job position
Qualifications and Skills:
BS degree
0-5 years of environmental experience
Ideal Candidates will have the following:
Technical writing experience.
40 Hours OSHA HAZWOPER Certification.
Competence using Word and Excel to compile, analyze, and present data.
Strong time management skills and the ability to work on multiple projects in a dynamic work environment.
Research skills.
Self-motivator and good communicator is a must have skills for this position.
Assisting and working on project reports and proposals.
Interaction with clients with regard to both project specific issues and development, and project budget management and client invoicing.
Safety minded individual.Work may include climbing: ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, etc.Project work may occur inside and outside, in the dark and in bright environments, in deep woodlands, wetlands, or in urban environments.
May be required to wear a respirator and other personal protective equipment and carry equipment as necessary.
Work environments may include exposed to various weather conditions such as wet and/or humid environments, cold and/or heat, dusty and noisy work environments. Noise levels will typically be moderate to moderately loud.
Any previous diverse environmental experience is a plus
