Generate other ad hoc reporting as required.Identify inefficiencies or inconsistencies and recommend enhancements to existing processes or new processes.Participate and collaborate in the creation of a culture that promotes analytics-driven processes.Conduct review work independently with limited input or instruction, but appropriately solicit consultation and guidance when needed.Participation in special projects, as appropriate, and displays a willingness to help the team achieve its objectives.COMPLIANCE

This includes:Following all aspects of the CIBC Code of Conduct, as well as all applicable CIBC policies, frameworks, guidelines, processes and controlsAt all times acting in accordance with our Purpose and shared values, to achieve our Bank’s strategic goalsUnderstanding and following the qualitative and quantitative components of our Risk Appetite StatementsCompleting all annual Corporate Mandatory Training and Testing modules, as well as any additional business-specific modules, as required and employing the learnings in daily activities and undertakingsEscalating matters through one of the appropriate channels identified in the CIBC Code of Conduct (i.e., HR, management, Ethics Hotline, Whistleblower, etc.) upon observing activities that may be inconsistent with CIBC’s policies, frameworks, guidelines, processes and controlsSpeaking up if witnessing behaviors that drive poor or unfair outcomes for clients, team members or other stakeholdersEscalating matters that can result in adverse market practices and outcomes, thereby negatively impacting CIBC’s reputation as a leading financial institutionKNOWLEDGE AND SKILLSBachelor’s / Master’s degree with major in Accounting, finance, analytics, business, or related area5+ years of experience in commercial lending / credit or related work experience with knowledge of financial, accounting and legal processes and principles associated with commercial lendingExperience working in or with Audit and Risk preferredAbility to analyze large amounts of data; strong analytical thinking, problem-solving and decision-making skillsComfortable performing ad-hoc statistical analysis using pivot tables, vlookup, complex formulas, and other advanced Excel functionsAbility to collaborate and communicate effectively across teams, which includes risk managers, technology and data management teamsProficient in MS Office including Excel and Word. Experience with PowerBI and Tableau preferredStrong verbal and written communication skillsForward thinker, strong drive, and ability to work independently in a team-oriented environmentWORKING CONDITIONS
