Battery TPM
In this role, you will apply your technical program manager skills to manage battery module programs from concept through design, sample build, and test for next generation consumer energy storage products. Responsibilities include leading development, validation, and launch of PCBAs, mechanical components, and cells. As the battery TPM, you will spend time interfacing with vendors across mechanicals, electrical, and cells to develop custom parts where needed and design test methodologies to verify the battery management unit design!

Lead design of battery module from concept to mass production
Push the boundaries of technologies to maximize performance
Collaborate with multi-functional partners (Mechanical Design, Electrical Engineering, Cell Engineering, Firmware, Software, Application Eng., and Operations) to ensure the product is developed on time and on budget.
Conduct investigations and prepare reports for problems or issues.
Release Schematics, Mechanical Designs, and BOMs to satisfy the design requirements by conducting cross-functional design reviews.
Organize design validation on prototypes to implement the design.
Conduct design reviews, incorporate team feedback and release the design documents for builds.
Work with component suppliers and CM partners to product prototypes, incorporate DFM feedback, and resolve design-related production issues.
Minimum Qualifications
BS + 10 years of relevant industry experience.
Experience in battery product design, validation, and manufacturing.
Ability to travel up to 20% to suppliers or CM
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with broad range of battery cells and chemistries (NMC, LFP, etc)
Degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or related field preferred.
Strong EE fundamentals and experience with microcontroller-based embedded systems.
Good knowledge of mechanical and electrical interfaces/communications protocols
Experience with high-volume manufacturing.
Self-starter with excellent time management skills and a curious spirit.
Strong documentation and communication skills.
Proven track record working independently under high pressure and comfortable working in a dynamic environment.
