Step aboard and help us by creating the best in-flight experiences for today and beyond!Job Summary:The Data Configuration Management Specialist is responsible for maintaining the Configuration Management system.Duties and Responsibilities:Maintain the Configuration Management system, including the PLM systemRecommend improvements to the Configuration Management systemAssist in providing department guidance and training to team membersMaintain and control item configuration (including revision and lifecycle), ensuring data integrityRelease and revise controlled data in the Product Lifecycle Management System and related configuration tools, including item numbers, Bills of Materials, drawings, and technical specificationsEnsure engineering data completeness and accuracyEstablish component configuration, including detailed item data and datasheet controls, sourcing information, and item relationshipsRoute controlled items throughout the Change Order process from request, submittal, approval, to notification.Facilitate item release and configuration issue resolution with data originators and stakeholdersDistribute controlled item data to established suppliers and customers.Maintain Quality Management System documentationSupport management by preparing and providing status reportsProvide support for data management activities at meetingsParticipate in or lead improvement projects related to configuration management and connected department activitiesProvide general and targeted configuration training to company staffCoordinate with HR and IT to establish PLM access policies for new hires and existing staffPerform other configuration functions as requiredMay be required to work outside of normal office hours as needed for urgent processing and release of controlled items, including evenings and weekendsMinimum Requirements:3+ years of experience working in a similar roleStrong knowledge of configuration management disciplines, including document release and data managementStrong working experience with PLM and/or ERP systemsKnowledge of project lifecycle process controls for engineering documentation in a technology-based companyAble to interpret a variety of technical instructions in written, verbal, diagram, or project schedule formatCapable of reading Electrical and Mechanical drawingsKnowledge of printed circuit board assemblies and documentationProficient with standard office software, including MS Word, MS Excel, and Adobe AcrobatExperience with Atlassian JIRA and Confluence or similar ticketing and collaboration toolsThe starting pay range for this position is $28.00 to $31.00 per hour, however, base pay offered may vary depending on the level of the position, skills, experience, job-related knowledge, and location.In addition to a comprehensive package of health benefits that include company contributions, Safran Passenger Innovations offers a variety of additional benefits and perks to enhance your work-life balance experience including but not limited to:A home allowance to elevate your home workspaceDiscretionary bonus programFuture financial security with a 401(k) program with company matchPaid time off covering vacations, personal time off and sick days, capped off by an exciting year-end holiday shutdown
