This role ensures that packaging meets quality, cost, and sustainability standards while aligning with Hershey’s strategic goals.ResponsibilitiesStrategic Planning/Category Management:
Develop and implement packaging strategies that align with Hershey’s overall supply chain and procurement objectives across a $500M portfolio spend.Leadership & Change Management:
Foster a collaborative environment that drives accountability across the teams and categories. Focus on strategic vision that will allow teams to execute the plans and continuous improvement.Data & Technology:
Partner with our Procurement COE to move our procurement technology roadmap forward.QualificationsKnowledge, Skills & AbilitiesStrategic Thinking:
Ability to develop long-term packaging strategies that align with business goals and market trends, anticipating future needs and proactively addressing potential challenges.Leadership and Team Development:
Proven ability to lead and develop a high-performing team, including mentoring, coaching, and fostering a collaborative work environment.Collaboration:
Partner with our Procurement Center of Excellence on moving our digital procurement roadmap forward, ensuring the packaging strategic plan aligns with our Data and Technology environment.Experience & EducationEducation:
Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Science, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree or MBA is preferred.Experience:
At least 10 years of experience in packaging, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role within the CPG industry. Experience with sustainable packaging initiatives and vendor management is highly desirable.
