The SWE team is looking for an individual with strong OS fundamentals, excellent communication skills, and a desire to join an amazing team who ships OS’ that drive Apple’s products. We’re looking for people who enjoy designing solutions to solve problems and an appetite for continuous improvement.DescriptionWork cross-functionally and gather requirements for shipping OS software. Provide daily prioritized information to the build and integration team on upcoming releases. Own the responsibility for delivering beta software for Mac, iPhone, iPad, HomePod, Apple TV and Apple Watch to customers and developers. Support engineering teams to execute secrecy initiatives for OS releases to safeguard Apple’s most innovative and disruptive technologies. This role includes responsibility for:Converging on developer seeds and customer shipping software by managing source changes for nightly builds.Identifying, escalating, and communicating key issues.Developing strategies for improving build release and software deployment processes.Driving for resolutions on build issues with engineering teams.Helping to manage risk in the release endgame leading up to customer launch.Releasing software to seed users and customers.Minimum QualificationsBS/MS EE/CS/CE or equivalent.Exceptional verbal and written communication.Detail-oriented with project management skills.Preferred QualificationsBuild and Release Engineering/Release Management experience highly desirable.Unix programming/scripting experience highly desirable.Self-motivated and proactive with demonstrated creative and critical thinking capabilities.Excellent time management skills; you love to prioritize duties and responsibilities in order to be more effective.At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $107,100 and $178,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
