This role will lead or participate in the production of best-in-class videos, from simple executive stand-ups to high-end conceptual narrative shoots. We are seeking a visual storyteller, with a keen eye and a passion for filmmaking. The ideal candidate is a creative thinker and problem solver who thrives in a high-stakes, high-pressure environment.The job encompasses every facet of production: creating concepts, finding and scouting locations, casting, scheduling, managing talent and crew, handling equipment and sets, and supporting both the shooting and editing processes. Experience with end-to-end production workflow is a must. The candidate will need to manage several projects with varying scopes and deadlines concurrently, keeping track of fast-moving timelines and logistics. Clear and timely communications skills are key. Equally important is the capacity to exercise sound judgment under tight deadlines while on set. The perfect candidate should excel in collaboration and be adept at influencing or guiding both internal and external teams to meet project objectives, all while sustaining positive working relationships even in high-pressure situations.This position sits within Qualcomm’s creative studio, where the candidate will collaborate with other creators, including writers and visual designers. Additionally, this role requires close collaboration with peers, marketing leaders, and with other marketing and business groups, as well as external partners, to ensure that we tell the best story possible. The candidate should be able to build relationships and cross-functional project plans.The candidate should also be comfortable in an engineering-focused tech environment.Responsibilities include:Independently producing small video projects from initial development to final executionProducing mid-sized projects with limited oversightWorking as part of a team on large, multi-faceted projects; independently owning and executing a portion of those projects while understanding how they roll up to the larger effortManaging film crews across projectsMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related work experience.ORAssociate's degree and 4+ years of Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related work experience.ORHigh School Diploma or equivalent and 6+ years of Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related work experience.Completed advanced degrees in a relevant field may be substituted for up to two years (Master’s = one year, Doctorate = two years) of work experience.Preferred Qualifications:5+ years of experience in film productionA knowledge of professional film cameras, such as RED and ArriA knowledge of professional editing software, such as Adobe Premiere ProCreative thinking and problem solvingProven ability to craft a compelling story using live action video and motion graphicsProject management skills, including overseeing budgets and timelinesExcellent people skills, the ability to work with cross-functional teamsExperience with photography is a plusMust be available to travel for regional, domestic, and international events and shoots.Qualcomm is an equal opportunity employer.
