)DescriptionPosition OverviewThe Technology Budgeting, Finance, and Procurement Manager oversees the financial planning, budgeting, and procurement functions within the Technology department, ensuring that all technology investments align with the Firm’s strategic goals and financial policies. The Manager is responsible for budget planning, forecasting, and monitoring expenditures to ensure cost efficiency and proactive vendor and contract management. This role will also collaborate with Technology department heads for full life-cycle budget planning and provide procurement insights to support decision-making.Primary Duties and ResponsibilitiesBudgeting and Financial Planning:Develop and manage the annual technology budget in collaboration with department heads and direct reports, in part to help drive precision and cost-effectiveness.Monitor and report on budget performance, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions.Forecast future financial needs and trends in technology spending.Procurement Management:Oversee full lifecycle procurement including working with vendors to secure appropriate agreements, contract analysis and negotiations in conjunction with the firm’s General Counsel and Contract Management team for procurement of technology hardware, software, and services.Assist with renewals for Software Licensing and Hardware Maintenance contracts.Implement procurement best practices to streamline processes and reduce costs.Financial Analysis and Reporting:Conduct mountly and ad hoc financial analysis to support decision-making for technology investments.Prepare and present financial reports to senior management.Ensure compliance with financial policies and regulations and function as highly effective liaison/colleague with Financial Services and other departments.Establish and maintain relationships with key technology vendors.Resolve any issues or disputes with vendors in a timely manner.Secondary Duties and ResponsibilitiesOther duties as assigned.Working ConditionsJob may be performed in a typical office or remote environment, subject to business need.Qualifications
Education:Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA or relevant certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) preferred.Experience:Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in finance, budgeting, and procurement, with a specific focus on technology, infrastructure and cloud services.Special Knowledge:Exceptional skills in negotiation, contract management, and vendor relations. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy. Proven track record in effective leadership and team management. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Technical Skills:Expertise in financial software, management tools, and ERP systems.Attributes:Demonstrate excellent strategic thinking and financial acumen.Qualifications:Proven ability to analyze financial data.
