We’re looking for people who are determined to make life better for people around the world.What You Will Do:The Captain is responsible for the operation, safety, and security of the aircraft and the safety of all crewmembers and passengers onboard. New hires will be assigned as a First Officer on domestic and international flights until experience level and performance dictate increased responsibility to be assigned as a domestic Captain.Responsibilities:Responsibility for operational control.Responsibility for the security of the aircraft during its operation.Ensuring all flight planning requirements and approvals have been met.Checking and assessing airport suitability, weather, applicable NOTAMS, fuel, oil, and oxygen requirements.Ensuring aircraft performance and weight and balance calculations meet requirements.Ensuring the aircraft is airworthy, duly registered, and all necessary documentation and operational information are carried onboard.Completing an aircraft preflight inspection as per the Aircraft Flight Manual before each departure. Briefing the passengers in accordance with the requirements specified in the General Operations Manual.Operating the aircraft in accordance with all Eli Lilly policies and procedures.Completing all post-flight duties as specified in the General Operations Manual and Aircraft Flight Manual, completion of the Maintenance Journey and Technical Log, Master Document when required, post flight entry of crew flight times, aircraft flight times and defects.Participating in the Safety Management System (SMS).Perform any additional duties assigned by the Chief Pilot.Basic Qualifications:FAA Unrestricted or Restricted Airline Transport Pilot Certificate (English proficient endorsement)FAA 1st Class Medical Certificate.FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit.Be able to travel unrestricted internationally and hold a valid passport.1000 Total Time500 PIC500 Multiengine250 Turbine (multi crew)Bachelor’s degree (preferred)Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States.
