We are looking for a Program Manager to join our team. The goal of a Program Manager at Wisk is to ensure that program milestones, budget and staffing are optimized and remain within allocations. You will be part of the Autoflight & Navigation team that is responsible to develop and certify onboard functionality supporting autonomous flights.
The successful candidate demonstrates excellent organizational and time management skills to effectively prioritize tasks and meet project deadlines. They exhibit strong leadership qualities and the ability to inspire and motivate team members toward common goals. They communicate clearly and effectively with stakeholders, team members, and upper management to ensure alignment and transparency. They are adaptable and flexible in response to changing project requirements, priorities, and constraints. They display problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically to overcome challenges and find innovative solutions. Finally, they foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment, encouraging teamwork and mutual support among team members.
This is a
hybrid
work opportunity. At Wisk, this means working onsite at our Mountain View office 2 to 3 days per week with flexibility for the remainder of the days.
What you will do:
Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, flight operations, R&D and manufacturing, to achieve program milestones and objectives.
Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources effectively to meet program goals within defined timelines and budget constraints.
Collaborate with multiple teams to define technical requirements, conduct feasibility studies, and assess emerging technologies for integration into eVTOL systems.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency, reliability, and performance of eVTOL aircraft through iterative testing and design iterations.
Act as the primary point of contact for external partners and suppliers. Perform supplier management activities.
Provide regular progress updates, risk assessments, and recommendations to senior management to facilitate informed decision-making and resource allocation.
What you have done:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
Minimum of 8 years of program management experience in Aerospace.
Demonstrated expertise in project management methodologies, including scheduling, budgeting, risk management, and resource allocation.
Familiarity with MS Project, scrum/agile methodologies and JIRA task management.
Knowledge of complex, highly coupled aircraft systems or avionics systems.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex technical data to drive data-driven decision-making.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders across organizational levels.
Prior experience working with regulatory agencies, such as the FAA or EASA, to obtain certification for novel aircraft systems is desirable.
Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed to support customer and project meetings.
Desired:
Familiarity with ARP4754A, DO-178C, ARP4761, Part 23/25, regulations, AC XX.1309, or similar standards.
Have PMP Certification.

Compensation and Benefits:

Job Type: Full-time
Pay Range: $175,950 - $207,000 a year. The starting base salary within this range for this role varies based on factors such as your geographical location, and your relevant job-related experience that is consistent with a business necessity.
