Oscar Scherer State Park is looking for a self-motivated park service professional to fill a Park Services Specialist position, providing visitor services, maintenance, protection, and administration. The applicant must possess good visitor service and administrative skills and be able to work independently, including rotating shifts on evenings, weekends, and holidays.The Difference You Will Make:

This is moderately independent work providing Visitor Services, Maintenance, Administration, and Protection of Oscar Scherer State Park.VISITOR SERVICES:

Coordinates volunteer program and special events for the park, facilitates all aspects of volunteer program, develops park specific interpretive literature, resolves visitor queries, and conducts community outreach activities.MAINTENANCE:

Maintains park facilities, equipment, and grounds through routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance practices.ADMINISTRATION:

Prepares reports, answers telephone, operates park radio, and conducts purchasing and fiscal activities.PROTECTION:

Performs routine patrols and security checks, interprets and enforces park rules, and ensures the security of cash funds.OTHER:

Performs other related duties as required.Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
