Sandhill Cove is recruiting for a hospitality-focused Director of Plant Operations to join our Leadership Team!

The Director of Plant Operations is responsible for the upkeep of all aspects of the physical plant which includes the maintenance of residences and common areas, environmental services, outside grounds/landscaping and the safety and security of all residents, employees, guests and company property.

Here are a few of the daily responsibilities:

Hires, trains and supervises all plant, grounds, environmental, security and transportation services staff.

Responsible for the procurement of necessary departmental supplies and equipment.

Responsible for coordinating and establishing a refurbishment program.

Works with Vendors, Contractors and city, state and federal officials as required.

Operates and maintains the heating and air conditioning systems, domestic water systems, refrigeration systems, pumps, motors, fans, electrical systems, and emergency generators. Responsible that each system is functioning properly, and that preventive maintenance, routine servicing, and emergency repair and changes are conducted.

Plans and conducts a complete preventive maintenance program including lubrication, changing, and cleaning of filters, replacing of worn parts, and oversight of outside contractors providing similar services on certain specialized equipment and systems.

Schedules and supervises the general maintenance staff and outside contractors in such areas as minor building and equipment repairs, plumbing & fixture repairs, minor vehicle repairs, general apartment maintenance, and all exterior ground maintenance.

Here are a few of the qualifications we need you to have:

Two (2) years vocational or technical education, or on-the-job building maintenance experience.

Minimum of 5 years in supervisory position.

Requires good working knowledge of various computer programs.

Requires a minimum of 5 years knowledge and background in building and equipment maintenance.

Must have a valid Florida Driver's License or ability to obtain one and a clean driving record.

Must have the ability to read, write and speak English.

Requires walking or standing for long periods of time and ability to lift 30 lbs. Must be able to quickly bend, stoop, squat, twist, climb a ladder and maintain balance.
