About the RoleWe are hiring two Associates to help us build and scale our Grocery, Convenience and Retail businesses. You will own strategizing how we onboard merchants and target consumers, identify where we can automate certain processes, run operational experiments, launch new initiatives at scale and more. You will report into a Manager on our New Verticals Strategy & Operations team. We are currently operating in a hybrid model, some time in-office and some time remote but it is quite flexible!

Strategize.
From first principles, you’ll develop the optimal strategy for best serving our customers.
Operate.
Own tracking dashboards and manage week over week metrics to drive high quality operations.
Analyze.
Build models using Excel and SQL to evaluate the economic, operational and strategic costs and benefits of various programs and experiments.
Engage.

Build.
You’ll have your fingerprints all over DoorDash’s next big business. You’ll launch new products, get 1% better every day, and scale something completely new. This means everything from high-level strategy to operational details.
Lead, collaborate and Influence.
You’ll partner with and influence cross-functional teams including growth, quality, design, marketing, partnerships and product team to build and scale the Grocery business.
We’re excited about you because…
You are an owner.
You're always looking for opportunities to better your work product and own the outcome – both the good and the bad.
You're entrepreneurial.
You have a bias for action and are able to build things from the ground up.
You’re analytical.
You let data win arguments, and you’re comfortable pulling your own data in SQL and building models in Excel.
You solve problems from first principles.
You have a talent for synthesizing complex problems, can translate high-level goals into actionable plans, and enjoy implementing a process.
You’re equally comfortable operating at 10,000 feet and 1 foot.
You don’t hesitate to get in the weeds and operate at the lowest level of detail, but you’re just as comfortable thinking long-term and inspiring a team.
You’re unafraid of ambiguity.
Rapid change and learning is exciting to you, and you thrive in ambiguous, startup environments.
You have 1-3+ years of experience.
You’ve succeeded in similar cultures (whether in tech, operations, strategy, consulting, banking, or a related experience).
