On site in Fort Lauderdale, FL 33315 (Relocation Assistance Offered)Direct Hire, Full Time, Great BenefitsResponsibilities:Master Production Schedule Management : Oversee and optimize the master production schedule to align with customer demands, production capacity, and inventory levels.Supply Chain Oversight : Manage the end-to-end supply chain process, including procurement, logistics, and inventory management to ensure the timely delivery of materials and components.Key Metrics Development : Establish and monitor weekly performance metrics to meet on-time delivery, cost efficiency, and inventory accuracy targets.Production Workflow and Prioritization : Oversee production priorities, ensuring efficient flow of materials and parts throughout the manufacturing process.Cross-Departmental Communication : Collaborate with department leaders (e.g., engineering, quality, procurement) to ensure optimal use of resources, minimize bottlenecks, and meet customer and project requirements.Prototype and Project Scheduling : Coordinate scheduling for engineering prototypes and special projects, ensuring seamless integration with regular production schedules.Inventory Management : Oversee and administer annual physical inventories, monitor inventory flow through the ERP system, and address inventory variances with appropriate corrective actions.Policy and Procedure Development : Create, maintain, and enforce policies and procedures surrounding production control, inventory management, and supply chain operations.Root Cause Analysis : Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective measures to prevent recurrence.Vendor Management : Work closely with vendors to manage material availability, lead times, and supply chain efficiency, maintaining strong supplier relationships.Cost and Waste Reduction : Develop and implement strategies to reduce costs, improve production efficiency, and minimize waste through lean manufacturing principles.Safety Compliance : Ensure adherence to DG safety policies and procedures, working in conjunction with the Facility Engineer/Safety Director to maintain a safe working environment.Other Duties : Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.Required Qualifications:Education : Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Operations, or a related field.Experience : Minimum of 5 years of experience in production planning, supply chain management, inventory control, and forecasting within a manufacturing environment.Leadership : Minimum of 3 years of experience managing and coaching direct reports across production control and supply chain functions.Technical Skills : Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP/scheduling software; Oracle ERP system experience preferred.Analytical Skills : Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; demonstrated experience in collecting, organizing, and analyzing data to develop actionable insights and recommendations.Manufacturing Processes : In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, production workflows, material handling, and supply chain economics.Lean Operations : Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, operational analysis, and process improvement initiatives.Vendor and Inventory Management : Proven ability to manage vendors and optimize inventory levels, addressing variances and ensuring material availability to meet production needs.WHO WE AREDayton-Granger, Inc. “DG” has been in business for 80 years as a leading supplier of avionic products to the aerospace industry with customers, including commercial airframe manufacturers, military program managers, and general aviation aircraft manufacturers.The “DG Team' is a community of employees, each contributing their diverse knowledge, experiences, and expertise to exceed customer expectations, adhere to quality standards, and address each challenge with determination and out of the box thinking.WHY YOU’LL LOVE WORKING WITH USWe are a multi-generational team with members representing a diversity of cultures, educational backgrounds, experience levels, and ideas all 'making it happen' from one location in beautiful, coastal South Florida.We are a well-established, long-standing supplier providing cutting-edge products in support of long-term aerospace programs, while at the same time developing new products to meet the needs of new customers, programs, and up-and-coming markets.DG loves its employees!
